Snow much fun...

Cute little snow-people by Vince B. from Crafty Moments is a freebie - as are all his images!  He has some really fun images and I encourage you to check them all out!  I really liked the idea of the blank card that they are holding up and being able to stamp or write anything I want.

This is a quicky New Years and Thank you combined... I am sending them in place of Christmas cards that I never had the chance to make.  Now that is really a shake your head in disbelief, cheap [two in one], multitasking card!  Heavy sigh.  I am so trying to get some kind of card to all my relatives and friends before Valentines day!

TECHNIQUE
[Note: specific information on supplies and sources
will be found below under “Supplies”.]

  • Used A2 size card base in a "Z" fold
  • Images colored with Copics
  • DP cut, matted and applied to front panels
  • Digital sentiment matted and applied to the inside
  • Focal image matted and attached to the front Z-fold in such a way to hide the 2014 sentiment
  • Two snowflakes punched and attached to corners with bling added to the centers.

This card should be eligible for the following

SUPPLIES

IMAGES:  The focal image is a freebie by Vince B. from Crafty Moments;  unfortunately I have lost the source on the 2014 freebie sentiment inside; Happy New Year sentiment is from a pre-inked word set called "Miniz".
PAPER:  Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# Cover Wt. used for the images; DP is from stash.
EMBELLISHMENTS: I have punched snowflakes and used a red rhinestone for the center.
INKS: the images were printed on a Canon PIXMA printer & colored with Copics:

May you color with abandon, create wildly and always make what amuses you!

  12. Oh Ginny, you do make me laugh, I bet your New Year resolution is to have all your Christmas cards made in time for posting in December 2014. I love the way you are resolving the issue with this wonderful multi tasked card though .....and I'm sure that no one minds when they receive a handmade card from you as your cards are always so special. I love the messages your happy snowmen are delivering in this delightful card.

Regretfully we are not able to include this entry in our Challenge #194 draw as it exceeds the number of non Stitchy Bear image entries permitted. However, it's been a delight to enjoy. Best wishes for a Very Creative 2014. Ingrid xx ( OSAAT Team )
