Winter Greetings...

"Snow Friends" provided by Stamp Art Design by Kathryne
Aud Sentiments' challenge is to create a project including a sentiment for "Any Dec. Holiday".  I opted to make it generic enough to include any Holiday - the inside reads "Tis the Season".  There will be two winners this go around and prizes from Delicious Doodles and from Stamp Art Design by Kathryne.  The DT created some awesome projects for your inspiration... and you can submit up to 5 projects for a chance to win!  Check it out!
TECHNIQUE
[Note: specific information on supplies and sources will be found below under “Supplies”.]
  • A2 size bluish-grey CS for base
  • Next is a layer of DP with printed snowflakes
  • Third layer is white CS embossed with a Cuttlebug E-folder.  The scalloped circle was punched out to create a window for the image.
  • Printed 4 copies of the image, colored them with Copics, fussy cut and 'paper sculpted' the image.
  • Die Cut the tag with the sentiment - attached a button sewn with red cord & tied with a bow.
  • Snowflakes punched from the DP layer and a metal 'button' brad was used to keep 3 of them together.
  • Inside created with left over papers from the front.

Subway Art...

'Rory Chimney Sweep' provided by Lacy Sunshine
I don't have a clue how my mind decided to connect a chimney sweep with Subway art...  heavy sigh.  But I've decided that she is down there trying to clean off the graffiti from the walls - but wait, maybe she was painting it with that big ole funny brush??  It's Christmas, give me a break on this one!
I loved making my own Subway Art on the brick wall... and I have to acknowledge it was in response to the current challenge at 613 Ave C!  I challenge YOU to follow the theme to use "Subway Art" [ you don't have to make it!], and enter up to 3 creations by Sat., 11/29!  There are two sponsors:  Lacy Sunshine Stamps with a #20 gift certificate and Beansie Doodles offering 3 digital stamps to a winner!  The DT has gone to town and created a plethora [oooh, using my big words here!] of inspiration for you - you can see it HERE!

TECHNIQUE
[Note: specific information on supplies and sources will be found below under “Supplies”.]
  • 6 x 5" white base CS used
  • I made my own 'Subway Art' by using multiple Christmas and Holiday sentiments stamped in red and black ink.  After stamping, the paper was then embossed with a brick wall embossing folder.
  • For the focal image I used a "Paper Sculpting Technique" that consisted of:  printing the focal image four times, coloring with Copics, fussy cutting different layers, sculpting the individual pieces [dry embossing each individual piece from the back using a large ball tool] and layering with foam tape and glue to maintain the dimension
  • The image panel and mat were die cut and mounted on foam tape for elevation.
  • The red column, white Candi and green twine were used for interest and balance.
  • Inside was layered with left over papers from the front.
