Promise of Spring...

Have had a bad case of cabin fever - and this is as close to a Spring challenge as I can get - a PROMISE of Spring!  Mo Manning's image expresses my current state of mind... the birds are outside my window, the wind is blowing like stink (and the tree pollen is thick on everything) so I am staying behind closed doors till I can emerge into the clear, clean, warm sunshine.  Heavy sigh.

Started with a layer of DP from Studio Calico that is like an inlaid floor or wall - really different! I added three strips of dark brown to indicate a peak of the house and then went wild with the little tiny brads that are like screw heads up close!  I put them in the boards of the peak, and on all the corners of the wood framed window - check out the close up.

Mo's image was colored with Copics, fussy cut and edged with dark brown ink to keep the white edges from showing.  Finally it was elevated with foam tape to create some depth to the layout.  I added punched branches that are getting green - but that have not flowered yet.
