Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend...

Too CAS for my usual style... needs more gussy!  But this vintage gal is still pleased as punch (just look at her face!) with her recent purchase of her DIAMOND necklace - which was "Just Because".  The camera seems to make them look like little round stones instead of the shiny gems I put there - (oh yeah, they are just little round stones & not diamonds - I forget.)  I have always liked the attitude of this little lady - a rubber image by Barbara Cressman.
Craft Your Passion Challenge #159  "Diamonds are a girls best friend..." starts today and the Design Team has some outstanding inspiration (HERE) to kick-start your mojo!
I colored her with Copics, used a Score-It to emboss lines on the edges as well as Distress Ink.  She was layered on two coordinating layers of DP - each with edges inked. The bright red panel also has faux stitching around the edges.  A ribbon and the sentiment balance it out a bit.

This card should be eligible for the following
CHALLENGES:
613 Ave. C - Anything Goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Say it isn't Sew (faux stitching around the red DP panel)

SUPPLIES AND TECHNIQUES
IMAGES:  The focal image is by Barbara Cressman - (I have no idea what stamp company)
PAPER:  Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# Cover Wt. used for the images; DP is from Basic Grey's "Hello Luscious"; base CS is Georgia Pacific
EMBELLISHMENTS:  The sentiment is layered on two punches from SU.
INKS: "Antique Linen" & "Walnut Stain" Distress Inks were used on the edges; The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black & colored with Copics:

May you color with abandon, create wildly and always make what amuses you!

  2. This is a fabulous stamp and I love how you have featured her. The simple scored frame is a great detail, playing up the image but not distracting the eye at all. Gorgeous CAS card, ginny.
