Irish you a lucky day!

This is another image from the "Sham-rock Set"  by Art Impressions that I used in the previous post.  The inside sentiment [Irish you a lucky day!] is also from that set.  If you are interested in the difference between a Shamrock and a Four Leaf Clover or the connection with St. Patrick - see the previous post.

The background is embossed using a folder from Darice.  I started to put the layered Stitched Circles [by Lil' Inkers' Designs] in the center, did not like it, tried to move it and tore the paper.  Heavy sigh.  So I cut out one of the four leaf clovers from leftover paper and mounted it 3D over the tear.  Thank goodness for quick fix-it experience - actually one of my most practiced skills!

Love the look of the layered circles with the top one on foam tape - you can see that better in this 2nd angle.
Here is one more card using images from this set.

Let the Shenanigans begin!

Oh my!  This gal sent me over the moon - had to have her!  I have red hair, sometimes use a cane and I am Irish thru and thru!  Art Impressions put together this great "Sham-rock Set" of wonderful images and super sentiments... I grabbed it up before it was sold out!
I double stamped this gal - one for the background and one to fussy cut and put on an "Action Wobble" spring [Also an AI product] so it would shake and wiggle.  You can see her "other" legs underneath from this angle.   I colored the images with Copics and on her jacket used blender solution to give it the appearance of wool.
The sentiments on the front and inside are both from the set which also comes with a four leaf Clover.  I wanted to use a Shamrock so I cut off one of the leaves.  A four leaf Clover is a rare mutation of the three leaf clover [one in 10,000] and thus considered 'lucky' to find.  It is often shown interchangeably with the Shamrock [a young, smaller sprig of a clover] as a symbol of St. Pat's Day.  The plant was used by Saint Patrick to illustrate the doctrine of the Trinity and has subsequently become a national symbol of Ireland.  'Shamrock' comes from seamróg, the Irish name that translates as "little clover".
StPatrick's revelers thought wearing green made one invisible to leprechauns who would pinch anyone they could see (anyone not wearing green).  People began pinching those who didn't wear green as a reminder that leprechauns could see them.

Re-Cycle / Re-use

Have you ever... [oh, of course you have]... opened a gift and found the ribbon or paper so beautiful you can not throw it out?  I have saved this ribbon for years, never even untied the bow.  I had a concept in my head for a pop-up box card, saw the ribbon and tried it on the box - fit perfectly like it was meant for it!  Chose my papers & colors to match the ribbon and I was off and running.   "The Gnome Lady" is from QKR Stampede - I have had her waiting to be colored for ages.  "Daisy" and "Sunflower" Balloons are from Eureka - the artist has a whole series of animals, flowers, etc all gathered at the bottom and tied off like a balloon.  The sentiment and a space for the message are on the back panel.

Box flattened for
mailing in an envelope.
I created this for the new 613 Ave C challenge... "ATG/ optional Twist: Re-cycle/ Reuse".  You have the month of March to show your creative talents!   For details of the challenge and for some very creative ideas - check out the DT inspiration concepts HERE!

The  Gnome lady is sitting on a wonderful mushroom and holding one of the balloons on a string.  All the balloons are supported by a 1/4" acetate strip re-cycled from packaging for a metal die.
