Christmas Stitches...

Craft Your Passion has a new challenge calling for "Stitching - Real or Faux" and this is my inspiration card.  The Design Team has created several ideas to inspire you and encourage you to try your hand!  Go HERE to see their samples and join the challenge.

This "Crescent Santa" is one of my favorites from my Santa collection.  I colored it with Copics and added Diamond Glaze to the star and bell to provide dimension & a little bling (that shine does not show up in the photo, unfortunately!)  I added the strip of blue and white gingham and the blue layer with faux stitching.   I used blue embroidery thread to sew the tab and the image layers.  Distress Ink was used to distress the edges of the card.

SUPPLIES AND TECHNIQUES
IMAGES:  The focal image is by Stampendous & Co.
PAPER:  Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# Cover Wt. used for the images; DP is from K & Company; base CS is Georgia Pacific
EMBELLISHMENTS: Tab is a McGill punch and "Happiness" is a self inking "Mini Word"
INKS:  "Wild Honey" Distress Ink was used on the edges.  The image was printed on a Canon PIXMA printer & colored with Copics: B00, 01, 02;  Y21, 23, 26, 28;  E0000, 000, 00;  R20;  C1

May you color with abandon, create wildly
and always, always, make what amuses you!
