Snail mail...

  • This image is a freebie from Bugaboo Stamps and seemed to be the perfect image to use for this card.  I recently received a set of Wobble springs that you won't be able to see here... it is an attachment with two adhesive patches with a spring in the middle.  When the card is pulled from the envelope the snail will wobble and shake  - and bring a giggle! The image was colored with Copics, mounted over Basic Grey DP, and three embellishments were added:
  • square black brads
  • a Studio 18  Rhinestone
  • "Icycle" Stickles for the snail slime
This card should be eligible for the following
CHALLENGES:
IMAGES:  The focal image is "Hat Snail" from Bugaboo Stamps; "Hello" is from Hero Arts: "Year Around Sentiments"
PAPER:  Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# Cover Wt. used for the image; both papers are from Basic Grey: "Out of Print"; base CS is from Georgia Pacific.
EMBELLISHMENTS:  Studio 18  Rhinestone; Stickles "Icycle"; brads from my stash
INKS: The image was printed on a Canon Pixma & colored with Copics:

    1. Donna - thanks for your comments! You are so right... looong hours of practice! I keep going to blogs/ artists I follow and carefully analyzing how the artist has colored - especially paying attention to shadows - and then trying to replicate the ones I really admire. Sometimes I get something I am pleased with and (heavy sigh) sometimes NOT!
