Vintage...

Today I am being featured as a Guest Designer at Fussy and Fancy for their current challenge.  If you like, you can see this card and the information about me featured (here).

When I was asked to do a Vintage project, I immediately thought of handwritten notes, big hats, flowers, ribbons and pearls.  So here is my interpretation of that theme.

I started with the Tim Holtz' technique of Distress Inks on a craft sheet, spritzed with water and the paper laid on the color to soak it up.  Once dry, it was stamped with the image of the woman and trimmed to size. The left over paper was used to punch flowers for later.  A background panel was stamped with the script and matted with black.  The focal image has been elevated on top with foam tape - pearls were added to the corners and to the center of the flowers.  Sheer ribbon with satin edges and the flowers completed the project.
The John Donne quote seemed appropriate for the inside.
