With Sympathy...

This is the fifth sympathy card I have needed in the last couple of months... five too many, if you know what I mean.  I know that there are others faced with making sympathy cards - where there is no expectation of happiness, stress relief or the joy of sending something that will make the recipient smile.
What I can do is share an idea, a design, technique or tool that might make this process a little easier for someone else out there.

PROCESS INVENTORY
IMAGES:
  • The sentiment die is by IO Dies.

PAPER:
  • Recollections - "White", 110# Wt. from Michaels used for the base card & the image panel.
EMBELLISHMENTS:
  • For the flowers I used Paper Tole Technique to give the punched shapes dimension.  The flower petals are from a "Carla Craft" punch, the center is a "Punch Bunch" and the fern is with a "McGill."
  • The image panel is elevated on fun foam to keep that layer as pristine as possible during mailing.
This card should be eligible for the following

Spring is Here!

I have not done a shaker card for ages!  I have to tell you... it was PAINful trying to match up the stamped version on the background with the hole cut in the foreground!  I wanted the lines behind my bunny - not over the top [as in stamped on the acetate]!  Phew - it will be another long time before I do another one!

This is my DT card for Aud Sentiments' "Easter or Spring Sentiment" Challenge.  I have a secret to share... it is really slow right now on this challenge - here is the perfect opportunity to have better odds to win an incredible prize from Great Impressions!  Their store [check it out!], has Rubber stamps [I am RubberMAD after all!] and the prize they are offering is FIVE stamps from their store!  You can enter up to five times and you have till Tuesday, 2/24 to get your projects in! The team has provided some fun ideas HERE and you will find the rest of the factoids there about the challenge - most important is... big hint: DON'T FORGET THE SENTIMENT!

The snow globe is a 1995 rubber stamp from Raindrops on Roses  [all three of the stamps are red rubber - sometimes I just have an uncontrollable urge to get back to my roots!] and the bunny is from Delafield Stamp Co... also older than the hills.  The sentiment is from ?? - I gotta check on that.  I made the embossed lines on the darker teal CS with a Scor-It & the big ole beautiful satin double bow was made on a Proctor Bow Maker.  The little plastic Easter egg confetti was added before sealing up the globe. The inside was made from CS left from the front and two pieces of leftover ribbon.
