Snow Lady...

If you like "Snow Lady with Ornaments"
you can find her HERE
I thought this was going to be a really simple image & would make a good CAS [Clean And Simple] card... hmmmm.  Then I remembered this challenge at 613 Ave C was to include subway art.  It got more involved quickly!  With the Subway art background I needed to make the image stand out - so went with my frequent 'go to' Paper Tole and made him three layers.  Then came the felt trees for contrast, and then the white enamel Dew Drops for balance and the glitter & shine and bling on the ornaments!   Nope, not a CAS card now!
You can see all the wonderful inspiration that the 613 Design Team has for you and submit your work for the ATG/ Optional Twist of Use Subway Art theme at the same link!  There are several prizes from several sponsors up for grabs -  and your chances are good!

PROCESS INVENTORY
IMAGES:
  • This image is "Snow Lady with Ornaments"  and was graciously provided by Drawn With Character for my use.
  • For the focal image I used Paper Tole Technique to give her dimension. Printed 3 copies, colored them with Copics, fussy cut and 'paper sculpted' the images.  The layers were both glued in some places & elevated in others with foam tape to achieve the desired dimension.
  • Inside sentiment is from a 1989 Stampendous rubber stamp.

  • Neenah "Classic Crest Solar White" 80# Cover Wt. used for the image.
  • Subway Art was found on the computer - compliments of Kathi Silvie

  • White 'Enamel Dew Drop Stickers' are from Freckled Fawn
  • Ornaments are decorated with Duo glue and Foil and then tiny 'diamond' bling from my stash.

National Caffeine Awareness Month...

"Cupid Shooting Arrow" was provided by
Drawn with Character.

Who knew??  I had no idea there was such a thing!
613 Ave C's latest challenge is to celebrate this widely popular occasion with all the masses that gather for parades and coffee bar events country wide!  LOL!  Ok, I will play along... my fave source for caffeine is hot chocolate {at least today it is}!  The DT has some delightful samples to celebrate the cause - check out their take on the theme (ATG /Twist: Use something with caffeine), and enter up to three of your own before next Saturday!

I used a deep chocolate brown base CS in a Z-fold & layered the panels with these wonderful blue patterned papers that a friend was giving away - what is the matter with her??!!  I luvs this paper!  The cuppa hot chocolate [from Melonheadz], was printed twice, colored with Copics & using Paper Sculpting to achieve the curvature, I popped up a 2nd layer of marshmallows and the heart on the front using foam tape.
Here is the Ode to Caffeine on the inside:
