Happy 15th Birthday Gena! Scott and I are dancing a celebratory jig in your honor! |
I am in love with the Mo Manning images of dwarves and gnomes... her images are so delightfully detailed and realistic [they look like all the gnomes who live in my woods!]
I have wanted for a very long time to color this threesome that I merged with the png files purchased at the Digital Pencil Too. This piece represents hours of meditative, soul-soothing, total escape coloring! After all three were completed with Copics, I started creating the background scene using the "Fern" stencil [KaiserCraft] and Distress Inks. Would you believe I have not used a stencil before this?? Next was the rock 'floor' [source unknown] of their living space, adding three dragonflies [PSX] and finally inking the edges with the same Distress Inks.
I created this for the new 613 Ave C challenge starting Aug 5: "ATG/ optional Twist: "Fantasy / Magic" You have the month of August to show your creative talents! For details of the challenge and for some very creative ideas from the DT's incredible inspiration concepts - click HERE!

ReplyDeleteWow!!! I thought it wasn't possible for me to be even more impressed with your coloring skills, but I am; you've outdone yourself on this one! FANTASTIC!!! I know Gena will love it, too! Happy Birthday, Gena!!! I know I've put a lot of exclamation points in this comment, but really this is just such a stunning card. In addition to you superb coloring, how you've handled the background the 'floor', etc., is all just so wonderful. I am sooooooooo in awe here.
ReplyDeleteYour colouring and creativeness is awesome. Thank you so much for joining us in our ATG challenge at Through The Craft Room Door this week. Looking forward to see you again next challenge.

Having just completed a DT project that involved multiple layered digis to create a full scene, I know exactly what it took to create this masterpiece! Heart, soul, and MANY hours! What a great job! That said, you could have just taken a photograph of your own little gnomes celebrating life in your woods😉 Oh wait... maybe this IS the photograph!!! Fantastic job Ginny! Adorable images. Beautiful colouring!! I can almost hear the music! Thanks for sharing your art with us at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges!
