Take Two...

This is my DT card for the new CAS Challenge at 613 Ave CWonderful Clean & Simple examples by the DT are available along with the rules of the game and prize information from our sponsor Melonheadz by clicking on the link HERE.  You can submit three entries up to the end date of 10/25.

TECHNIQUE
[Note: specific information on supplies and sources will be found below under “Supplies”.]
  • A2 CS with a left fold used for the base card.
  • Image, sentiment and the pill bottle were layered digitally, printed on the CS. 
  • Printed 3 copies of the bottle so that I could 'paper sculpt' the image.  Layers were colored with Copics.
  • The lid to the bottle was run thru a corrugator to create the ribbed edge & then mounted on foam tape.  Two white 'Candi' were mounted on foam tape to create the 'pills'.
  • Focal panel was mounted on the card base with foam tape for the elevation.

SUPPLIES
ButtonIMAGES:  The focal images and the sentiment are from "Lori's Medical Bundle" by Melonheadz Illustrating.
PAPER:  Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# Cover Wt. used for the images; CS for card base from stash.
EMBELLISHMENTS: 'Candi' used for pills; a corrugator used on the pill bottle top.
INKS: the images were printed on an Epson WF-3520 printer & colored with Copics:

  1. What a totally adorable card! CAS is the very hardest style for me to do, so I'm super impressed with this crisp, fun design. Great coloring! Love the two little aspirin!
