"Carousel Seahorse" provided by Doodle Pantry |
Doodle Pantry sponsors a prize for the winner this go around, and of course, the images for the Designers.
TECHNIQUE
[Note: specific information on supplies and sources will be found below under “Supplies”.]
- The Carousel Seahorse was colored with Copics, fussy cut [including cutting off the pole] and then dotted with white Copic paint & purple foil applied to the saddle [shows black in the photo].
- Background was a multi step process: 1] Distress Inks were applied horizontally across the panel until the color and saturation were what I wanted. 2] When dry, I stamped the plant life and the small seahorses. 3] The panel was embossed with a Cuttlebug E-folder. 4] Distress Inks were sponged vertically down the panel to ink the edges of the "waves". 5] Gold foil was glued at the base of each of the "blooms". 6] Left edge of the panel was cut and then adhered to the purple base card 1/8" from the main panel with tape and brads.
- The Seahorse was sculpted and then elevated on foam tape to the panel.
- Sentiment was computer generated, matted and attached.
- As always, the inside uses leftover papers from the front.
