This image was colored with Copics, the edges of the panel were inked with Distress Inks and it was mounted with foam tape on distressed layers. The first layer was stamped with Thank you and the bottom layer has a stamped "ribbon" all done with the same Distress Ink. The inside is completed with leftover distressed scraps.
Mini-tutorial: Hard to see, but in each of the corners of the "thank you" layer I have handmade "brads". I used a simple 1/4 inch hole punch on heavy card stock and glued the four resulting dots on each of the corners. I applied Duo glue to each of the dots and when it dried tacky, I applied a gold sparkle Art Foil and burnished thoroughly. Her earrings are foiled in the same manner. I like this technique because I can make brads the exact size and color that I want.
