Hugs!

"Raggedy Bay Boy & Girl Set" provided by Stamp Art by Kathryne
This card was designed for Aud Sentiments' BINGO challenge.  The game runs from May 22 - June 3, 2014.  You can click on the link and get the challenge details as well as seeing the other designers' take on the Bingo theme!  I chose the Bingo line that included: One Word Sentiment, Lace and Embossing.

TECHNIQUE
[Note: specific information on supplies and sources will be found below under “Supplies”.]

  • For the heart shaped pennants and the two dolls, I used a "Paper Sculpting Technique" that consists of:  printing the focal image three times, coloring with Copics, fussy cutting different layers, sculpting the individual pieces [this is done by dry embossing the fussy cut pieces from the back to make each one concave] and finally layering with foam tape to maintain the dimension.  Each piece is then finished by coloring the cut edges with the darkest of the Copic colors used for that section.
  • I created a "dresser" for the dolls by cutting the basic shape I wanted from the DP and then matting it on black.  Knobs were punched from black with a 1/8th inch circle punch.  The dresser was set on the lace border "rug".
  • The heart pennants were hung from black waxed linen thread with knots tied in each end.
  • The inside uses left over papers from the front.
