Pup is a "Freebie" from All Dressed Up |
A combination of a Stamp convention a couple of weeks back and a new challenge from 613 Ave C got me motivated to play with RUBBER again. Entering challenges as often as I do has really moved me more toward digis and away from rubber. I found some background rubber stamps at the convention that inspired me to play! Impression Obsession was doing a demo layering two or even three backgrounds over one another with different intensities or inks. I decided to use the IO's "Grunge" and "Knit" together and I wanted a monochrome result - so the Distress Inks I used were 'Milled Lavender' and 'Dusty Concord'. You can pick up on the layers of the two stamps best I think on the sentiment panel top right corner. The 'Grunge' is apparent, but the 'Knit' is softer and in real life makes the background look like cloth or an old sweater. The 'Knit' is obvious in the Marvy Uchida punch scalloped circle - it is stamped on a white background as opposed to the lavender CS of the first layer. From this stamped paper I was also able to punch out the buckle slider by EK Success used on the ribbon.
The dog IS a digital, a FREEBIE as a matter of fact, from All Dressed Up. I colored him with Copics: V01, 06 & 09. Then to continue the theme of materials, I stamped all over him with a rubber stamp from a Hero Arts collection - 'Tiny Backgrounds'. I used black half pearls for his eyes and Glossy Accents on his huge nose. The head is actually two layers with the top layer sculpted and then mounted on an Action Wobble Spring so that when tweaked, it wobbles back and forth. The sentiment is a very old and well loved rubber by Anita[?] Watkins.
The inside utilizes left overs from the front papers and a 2nd punched buckle slider.
