A Thank You Fairy...

'Bitsy Bug Dot' can be found at ADFD

This card shape was created with a recent RAK of a set of dies from a Gingerwood member.  Thank you Paula M. - here is my card made with your gift!  Gingerwood is a Bulletin Board for stampers - and if you are not familiar with it, you might want to check it out!  It's a pretty wonderful group of individuals who have been into the stamping arts for years and who like to share techniques, ideas and sources.  The group is a very easy going, generous group who not only like to send RAKs and birthday cards to each other, but support one another thru personal tragedies!

I am going to use this card as my DT card for 613 Ave C's latest challenge.  It is ATG / Optional twist of using a Color Challenge.  The Fantasy Art of Nikki Burnett  is the sponsor and is providing the prize.  The amazing 613 Team has provided some ideas for you to spark your mojo - and all the details you need to enter the challenge can be found at the link above for 613.
Come on- join the fun!
PROCESS INVENTORY
IMAGES:
  • I was assigned to play ATG with any image & I chose to use a freebie image named "Bitsy Bug Dot" from A Day For Daisies.  Unfortunately she is no longer free, but you can purchase her HERE
  • Sentiment is a die cut by SU.
  • For the focal image I used Paper Tole Technique to give her dimension. Printed 2 copies, colored them with Copics, fussy cut and 'paper sculpted' the images.  The layers were both glued in some places & elevated in others with foam tape to achieve the desired dimension.  You can see that in her skirt and wing here:
PAPER:
  • Neenah "Classic Crest Solar White" 80# Cover Wt. used for the image.
  • DP is from Paper House: Artist Paper Pix
  • Inside was created with leftover paper from the front:
EMBELLISHMENTS:
How to create a "Folded Card" from two Die cuts:
All of the panels used for the base card, focal panel & mats are all from a Spellbinder's set.  I used two cuts of the largest die to make the base card which are an A2 size.  On the back banner I scored a line 1/2 inch from the top & folded that back.  Next I applied a very heavy duty 1/2 in. double stick tape along the fold and lined up the front panel to attach it.  You can see in this next photo, the back of the card is shorter because of that 1/2 in. portion fastened firmly to the front of the card.

INKS:
  • Image was printed on an Epson WF-3520 printer
  • Hand colored with Copics:

This card should be eligible for the following

Crafting from the Heart #120 – ATG Always
