"Nutcracker Prince" from Aurora Wings |
613 Ave C's latest is Anything Goes with an optional twist of "Create Your Own Challenge" using this fun little chart by Kathi Silvi:
I chose to use a Tag, Christmas and Gold/Metallic as my three items and then scored this great image from our sponsor - Aurora Wings to showcase. You have one week till Sat, Sep 5 to put something together (in either category) for the challenge. If you need some inspiration - you should see the projects of the incredible team that Chana and Kathi have put together!
My intent is to use this as a tag/bookmark for a gift of a book at Christmas. But a moment of candor... does anybody else think his boots look like they are on backwards? It's my coloring of the highlights I'm sure. Back to the drawing board to figure out how to change the light on the toe of the boots - LOL! Coloring is such a long learning process of trial and error - and I have to figure out how to turn his feet to the front again! Now I can't look at him with out seeing that.

A great tag! The bound edge adds a nice touch without being 'too' much, tying in with the color theme and top ribbons/twine. As always your embellishments are spot on and the coloring absolutely perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love your tag- your coloring is wonderful, and I do not think the boots look backwards..... Love the edge stitching you did! Thanks for joining the Sweet Stamps anything goes challenge!
ReplyDeleteJust adore Nutcracker images and yours is fab. I can see what you mean about the boots. maybe do the light source on the side instead? But nobody would have even thought about it if you hadn't said something, lol. I like the addition of the blanket stitching down the side. Have my trip to the dentist today so am hoping to feel a bit better about my crown and at least have a permanent solution for two of the teeth until Friday when he fixes the other two. Thanks for popping in to my blog, Ginny, much appreciated.
