Wood Elf...

"Wood Elf 1" can be found here: Scrapper's Delight
Oh my!  I love this Wood Elf - made me smile to work with him!
613 Ave C has a new challenge starting today called "Create Your Own Challenge" [CYOC].  There are two sponsors this go around - Scrapper's Delight & Melonheadz... so two prizes up for grabs!  Some outstanding inspirational pieces to jump start your mojo can be found here.  You have till Sat. 4/18 to submit your take on the theme using this chart:

PROCESS INVENTORY
I used Easel as my card type, Birthday as the event and Burlap as the trend from this CYOC chart.

IMAGES:
  • The sentiment "Happy Happy" is by Penny Black

PAPER:
  • Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# Cover Wt. used for image
  • DPs used for the paper piecing were scraps from stash. EDIT: His suit of clothing is Designer Paper... it was paper pieced.  I did NOT color that.  I've had two people now ask how I did that fab coloring with my Copics!  I colored only his skin and hair.
 EMBELLISHMENTS:
  • Borderabilities by Spellbinders used to die cut the curved element.
  • Burlap ribbon by Floral Garden was taped behind that die cut opening and pieces were gathered together and sewn with waxed linen to the back of the red wooden button.  There is also a strip of burlap layered beneath the sentiment.
  •  Candi was colored with Copics to match my palette.
INKS:
  • Image was printed on an Epson WF-3520 printer.
  • "Black Onyx" VersaFine ink used for the sentiment.
  • Colored his skin and hair with Copics:
This card should be eligible for the following
