Curly Locks...

Combine a challenge requiring lace or ribbon - and a sponsor specializing in "Vintage inspired images" and it's easy to vizualize a direction for this card!

Here are the specifics for this Monday's CYP Challenge:

The CYP Design Team  has created multiple
 examples (see HERE!
to help kick-start your mojo.

for the chance to win a prize from our sponsor

I chose "Curly Locks Girl" from The Sugar Kissed Cottage, (entries may be any image you choose, not just from the sponsor).  I printed her three times, colored them with Copics and fancy cut the layers I intended to use.
MINI-TUTORIAL: If you are not familiar with paper tole or layering like this - look at an image and visualize what is the furthest, middle and closest portions of the image, and determine what your layers will be.  In this case, my bottom or base layer is the entire image including the surrounding background of fence and flora.  My 2nd layer (next closest) is her head, body, the basic dress and the bucket.  The top, or closest to the eye, is her left arm and shoulder and the puffy part of her dress over her hips.  Each layer is fussy cut (right up next to the line of the image), sculpted (dry embossed from the backside) to give it depth and then layered using a double sided foam tape.  This raises each layer physically toward the eye and gives the 3D appearance you can see in the angle and close-up shots below.
After die cutting the image with a scalloped die and a lightly larger version on which it is layered, all three layers had their edges inked with Distress Ink.  I paper pierced each scallop to add detail and then lace was secured around the bottom with two thin cream ribbons on top of that.  The inside is completed with scraps left from the front.

This card should be eligible for the following
