Goth Guy... or is he?

This guy is more Steampunk than Goth - but "Oliver" from Make It Crafty, is the closest image I have for a "Gone Gothic" challenge at Craft Your Passion.  My biggest problem was to make it dark enough to be Goth.  I Layered blues and grays 'cuz I still wanted to see the detail of his clothes - but true Goth should be much more black. Next I put all kinds of mini words on the DP and then used a brick wall embossing folder by Tim Holtz to make the background panel.  You can see some of that detail in the upper left quadrant.  All corners punched / rounded and silver brads added for minimal embellishment.

This card should be eligible for the following
CHALLENGES:
Craft Your Passion #118 - Gone Gothic
Top Tip Tuesday #80 - One For Men
Catch The Bug - Anything Goes
MarkerPOP #1 - Hair/fur

IMAGES:  The focal image is "Oliver" from Make It Crafty,
PAPER:  Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# Cover Wt. used for the image; DP and base card stock is from my stash.
EMBELLISHMENTS:  Words on the background are from self inking "Mini Words"; brads from my stash.
INKS: The image is printed on a Canon PIXMA printer & colored with Distress Markers and Copics.
"Weathered Wood", "Antique Linen", "Frayed Burlap", "Tattered Rose",  "Barn Door" and "Black Soot" Distress Inks were used to color the image first and then I used the following Copics to deepen the colors:

  1. He looks a bit like a gothic Harry Potter - lovely card, really different.
